Buttons and a note

This note was left for me,
without a pricetag or a fee...
It was wrapped around a little box
which, picking it up, seemed to contain small rocks...
After reading, it became clear,
this box was to M. very dear...
She shared it with me, knowing I love me a button,
a detail she had not forgotten.
I picked out a few I loved the most,
gave her back the box, together with a big thank you in this post...

Chillin' and creating - creating and chillin'

I mostly do what I like and love
and that includes creating "stuff".
I'm preparing for one super cool gig
while singing along with this song I dig

This sunday I will be selling on a boat
for TOP location, it has my vote!

especially now the cleaning "got done."

My angel-mom helps me with the cleaning

''Lapjes''market Utrecht

A fabric market must mean...
that there are some buttons in between!

Next to fabrics with leopard prints, lacy purples and silky blues,
and a lot more variety's that make it too difficult to choose

there were little treasures here and there...
Ok... to be honest, there were buttons everywhere!

So when I got home I had a date:
me and my buttons did create!!!
More brooches, earrings and rings
all awesome and beautiful things!

Greek buttons...

A ''koubi'' is a greek button,
and recently they spoiled me rotten!
Not only did I get to go to Greece to see
my dear friend Maria and her super sweet family...
I got to visit her Grandma's old sewing store
where they had old needles, fabrics, threats and more...
I felt like I was in a treasure chest:
the selection of vintage buttons was the best!
I got to go through them and collect...
they were all gorgeous, so easy to select!
To start creating is what I want to do
and share some pictures of my creations with you!

The shop is near a cute little square,
where cute little old people,
play cute little games.
All the following takes place in
a town called ''Kilkis''.

First there is the beautiful apartment upstairs,
where grandma Theofronie (or Fofo) and her husband Anestis used to live.
Fofo now lives in Thessaloniki with her daughter,
the lovely Stathoula (my friend Maria's mom).
She doesn't remember she once had this amazing treasure-store.

Balcony of the apartment,
overlooking the square.
Kitchen cupboard,
ready for guests...

Tadaaaaa! The button selection!

I would buy them all!
The cool vintage counter

The cutest sewing kits and
boxes and boxes of threat...

Buttons!!!

All colors and sizes...
Ok... you get the point :).

Order in the chaos

They are out of control
they are on a roll
they are upside down, on top and underneath
and I have trouble finding the one I need...

So I thought, this can be better
and did something about the matter.
They all live somewhere now
and I can look at them and go ''Waw!''.
No more hiding and playing hard to get,
not one of them I will forget!
Easy to make, you can too
and if not, ask me what to do!

Nostalgic market in Mol

I am so excited to see who else is there,
at this 60's inspired fair.
It is an honour after all,
to be able to have a little stall!
My creations are ready, their colours bright,
no longer will they have to hide!
Selling, buying, or just to see...
why don't you come and say HI to me?
